RX Willow Blade Spinners

The RX Willow Blade Spinner is a small-profile, high-flash add-on built to call fish in SoCal inshore and freshwater — and it does a lot without getting in the way of your presentation.

That slender willow blade throws light and cuts through current with a tight, high-frequency vibration. I fish these when bait schools are around and I want to give my setup a little extra flash and movement without changing up my whole rig. Small profile, real presence in the water column.

The willow blade spinner works because it mimics what fish are already keyed into — a small baitfish flickering through the water column. When spotties and calicos are sitting on structure and you need something to pull their attention, that flash and vibration does the job. It’s also easy to experiment with. Clip it on, slow-roll it, and see if it changes the bite. On a slow day it often does.

Pair it with the RX Slug and an RX Belly Weight for a fully rigged slow-roll setup — belly weight for depth control, willow blade off the back for flash. That combination covers a lot of water and gives fish two things to react to. Works on the RX Paddle Tail the same way.

Works in both saltwater and freshwater — solid for calico bass, spotted bay bass, and sand bass alike. Available in gold and silver. Made in Los Angeles.

How to rig it: Clip the willow blade spinner to the rear hook or a split ring at the back of your soft plastic setup. Gold works well in stained water or low light. Silver is the call in clear water when you want a more natural flash. Start with a slow retrieve and let the blade do the work.
